I dont know a ton but I asked around when I bought mine and every computer guy said to get a Dell. So I got an Inspiron 1525, I have had it for over two years with no problems.

I just picked one up from wal mart for dirt cheap, around 400. Has a warranty through walmart. Big screen, user friendly.
